‘Rob Roy’, a national drama based on the novel of Sir Walter Scott, consisting of annotated pages from the book, interleaved with plans of scenery and stage settings, as performed at the Theatre Royal Edinburgh.
The play was produced on the occasion of Sir Walter Scott’s centenary under the supervision of Mr and Mrs Wyndham.

Peter Cunningham was born at Pimlico in 1816, the third son of Allan Cunningham. He was educated at Christ's Hospital, London and in 1834 obtained a position in the audit office, from which he retired in 1860. He published many works including 'Handbook of Westminster Abbey' (1842); 'Handbook of London' (1849); 'Story of Nell Gwyn' (1852). He also contributed to various periodicals including the 'Illustrated London News' and "Gentleman's Magazine". Cunningham died in 1869.
Volume of printed reports, newspaper-cuttings, and other papers, 1865-1914, collected by Daniel William Kemp, in connection with the discussion of proposals for a National Library of Scotland by the Convention of Royal Burghs in 1902 and Kemp's later efforts to further the object.
